Syllabus:

Prerequisite: CSL 1 or equivalent.

This course is designed for learners who are not native Chinese speakers and have a beginner-level background in Chinese. The course focuses on developing students’ Chinese listening and speaking skills, supplemented by reading practice and basic Chinese character writing. The course runs for 14 weeks, totaling 28 class hours, and covers topics such as numbers, family members, colors, and daily activities. During the course, students will learn to express mathematical operations (addition and subtraction) in Chinese, briefly introduce family members and friends, and describe their preferences, objects, and people.
