2020-2021学年捐款倡议 (2020-2021 PCS DONATION INITIATION)

亲爱的会员们、朋友们和关心中文学校发展的有识之士：

        受到新冠病毒COVID-19疫情的影响，2020年对于所有人都是不平凡的一年。为了使华人社区孩子们持续接受高质量的中文和中华文化教育，中文学校从今年秋季学期开始全面开展了ZOOM网络课堂！50多名教师、助教和校务人员逐步适应了从实体课到网课的教学方式转变，230多名学生在教师们的谆谆教诲下，学有所乐，学有所长。虽然上网课比实体课需要付出更多的努力，但为了孩子们上好每一节课，教师们从不言苦，及时和家长沟通，保证每一名学生取得尽可能大的学习进步。

       为了感谢教师们的辛勤付出，奖励学生们持之以恒的学习，以及支持中文学校的持续发展，欢迎您踊跃参加中文学校一年一度的捐款活动，伸出捐助之手，奉献一片爱心。您也可以指定自己的捐款用途。和其他学校财务一样，此次捐款明细将由中文学校董事会的13名董事实时监督，并将及时向社会公布捐款情况。捐款总额和捐款人的名字（事先得到捐款人同意的情况下）也将在中文学校的网站上公布。中文学校在今年的预算中，从往年的积蓄中拿出一部分奖励学生和教师们，支持教师培训等。您的捐助也将缓解中文学校今年特殊的财务亏损。

       捐款达到或超过$30.00的捐款人将得到一件印有“匹兹堡中文学校”和Logo的衬衫，以留作纪念。捐款人也可以得到一张中文学校会员卡，用此卡在匹兹堡中国杂货店和餐馆可以享受至少5%的折扣优惠。所以，您捐款时请署名，并留下您的电话号码和家庭住址。谢谢您的慷慨捐助！

       中文学校可以向您提供捐款免税信 (IRS EIN #25-1811018)。捐款方式有下列三种，请任选一种：

Dear members, friends, and sponsors：

2020 is an unprecedented year for everybody due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  To ensure students can continue high-quality learning of Chinese language and culture, the Pittsburgh Chinese School (PCS) launched online Zoom classes for all students. Over 50 teachers, teacher aides, and management personnel have made a smooth transition from in- person to online classes. More than 230 students have enjoyed the online didactics, and made excellent progress. Despite extra effort is required for online classes, our teachers never complain. In order to provide the best experience to every student in every cyber classroom, our teachers keep in close communication with parents.

Welcome to join the PCS annual donation initiation!  Your donation will be used for bonuses and rewards to our teachers and students, for teachers’ training, and for supporting sustainable development of the PCS.  You can also specify the use for your donation. The donation details, like other financial details of the PCS, will be monitored by the 13 members of the PCS Board of Directors.  Total amount of donations and names of the donors, upon permission, will be published and posted on the PCS website.  Due to the significant revenue loss from the pandemic, some savings from past years have been redistributed into the PCS current fiscal year budget for supporting teachers’ training and bonuses. Your donation will definitely help out the financial strain of the PCS.

For any donation with $30.00 or more, the donor shall receive a shirt imprinted with “Pittsburgh Chinese School” and the logo.  Each donor will also receive a PCS membership card, which allows you to be eligible for a minimal 5% discount when shopping in the local Chinese stores or dinning in the local Chinese restaurants. Therefore, when you make your donation, please provide your name, phone number, and home address.  Thanks for your generosity!

All donations are tax deductible (IRS EIN #25-1811018). You can choose one of the following options for donation:

  • Donate when you register your child for the 2021 Spring semester.  Please pay attention to the check box of donation.

  • PayPal:  treasurer@pittsburgh-chinese-school.org (please provide your name, phone number, and home address).

  • Make a check payable to PCSEFI, and addressed to:  PCSEFI, P.O. Box 383, Wexford, PA 15090-0383.
